If you are not a diver, but still would like to enjoy the beauty of the sea and what lives in there, you can take a boat transfer to the islands Manado Tua, Siladen or Bunaken. You can also ask for our Bunaken Sightseeing tour
Enjoy a taste of the local atmosphere and spend half a day on Bunaken Island.
The trip starts from the jetty of the dive center, from where the boat will bring you to the island. Here you can walk and look around, while the guide can answer questions you might have about aspects of the local community. The small souvenir markets gives you a chance to buy something nice to bring home.
It is nice to see how people live, how hospitable they are and friendly. You will also enjoy the scenery and the beautiful nature of the island. At "Liang Beach" you can have a nice fresh lunch, with barbequed fish, vegetables, soup, rice, fruit, coffee, tea and water. After approximately 1,5 hour, we invite you for a trip on a glass bottom boat to look at the stunning corals and marine life of the national park of Bunaken. Don’t forget that you need an entrance fee ticket for the Park.
Although North Sulawesi does not have a very old and rich culture, exploring the highlands is certainly worthwhile. We offer 2 different tours; a volcano tour and a cultural tour.

Minahasa Highland, the hinterland of Manado, is extremely mountainous. The upland hills are covered with clove trees, vanilla, rice fields and other crops. During any of the 2 available tours in this area you will visit some of the most interesting and beautiful places of Minahasa. Tinoor is always the first stop, because here you can admire a beautiful view over Manado city and its surroundings from 500 meters above sea level. Next is Tomohon, a beautiful "flower city" that lies between two active volcanoes. Its "Bukit Inspirasi" which means "Inspiration Hill" is a meeting place for gatherings and conferences for the Christian churches of the area. You can pay a visit to Linow's color-changing lake at Lahendong village, the traditional pottery-making village at Pulutan,

After lunch at a local Minahasa restaurant, you can continue to Tondano city, the capital of the Minahasa regency. If you like, we'll make a visit to Sawangan village, where you'll find the largest collections of ancient sarcophagi or "Waruga". They go back as early as the 9th century. The Waruga are rectangular stone burials of ancient Minahasa's tribes.
Kali Waterfall - Located in Kali village, Pineleng, about 10 km from Manado, it's clear water drops down vertically from a 60m height, and is an ideal place to enjoy the natural environment and fresh water bathing. A visit can be combined with a highland tour. To get to the waterfall you'll need to hike about 30 minutes. Bring a rain jacket or some dry cloth in a plastic bag if you don't want to get wet.
Volcanoes Lokon and Mahawu - Mount Lokon (1.580 m) and Mahawu (1.311 m), both have crater lakes of considerable beauty, duck-egg blue and smoking. Lokon is usually considered to be more beautiful of the two and the 45 minutes climb can be done by most reasonably fit visitors. The best time to start walking from Kakaskasen is 7 am, while the morning is still cool and sun just filled the crater. Don't climb any volcano without a guide to help you with the registration and in case of other needs.
Tomohon - A nice little town and the center of Christian Missionaries lies about 25 km from Manado. Located at 700 meters above sea level and between Mount Lokon and Mahawu and with a temperature of about 20 degrees Celsius it is a place to cool off after the hot air of Manado. The land around the village is covered with flowers, horticultural plants and many kinds of vegetables. You'll also find the peaceful looking rice fields, called "padi's" here.
Lake Linow - Lake Linow is located near Tomohon and is a beautiful but strange lake, which can change color. Sometimes it is red, sometimes green and sometimes blue. A good location for relaxation and resting.
Ranopaso - Have a "hot spring" bath in the cool air of Ranopaso, about 3 kilometers of Tondano Village. In the area are bungalows available to stay overnight.
Tamaska Hijau - Located on a plain among the rice fields and with a beautiful panorama of the surrounding mountains, you'll find another "hot spring" bathing place at a sidetrack of the road to Remboken. Here as well are opportunities to stay overnight. The village is called Tataaran, close to Tondano.

The province also still has some of the original jungle in the north east. A trip to this jungle reserve called Tangkoko, will give you a chance to get “eye-to-eye” with the indigenous Macaques and the Tarsius. Other encounters can be the famous Hornbills, the Cuscus, snakes, spiders and everything else the jungle has to offer.
Trips can either be combined with a 2 dive trip to the Bangka Archipelago or can go by car from the dive center. The tour consists of a jungle hike of about 2,5-3 hours after which you will have dinner in a local restaurant close by.
